HP Oxygen (Helium Polish Oxygen) is a recognized leader for diamond scanning, a successor to Helium Polish with a modern interface and plenty of new features. It is intended for cutting factories, laboratories, and dealers.
Now HPO data can be uploaded to Cutwise directly.
Fire is colored flashes that we see in colorless diamonds. Observed Fire depends on the colored flashes quantity, size, duration, brightness, saturation, and distribution.
Diamond brilliance is an optical illusion: the perceived brightness of the object significantly exceeds its actual brightness. It occurs when several parts of the object with different brightness are observed within a single space-time domain.
In the case of a diamond, these parts are its virtual facets. Two virtual facets belong to the same space-time domain when an observer cannot separate them due to spatial or temporal limitations of the sense of vision.
Optical symmetry shows diamond symmetry grade when viewed face up. A score is calculated from crown (ASET) image for fancy shapes and crown (ASET) and pavilion (Hearts) images for round shapes.
A face-up fluorescence score shows the percentage of diamond area that belongs to different fluorescence grades for the diamond image taken face up in UV 385nm light.
Diamonds of the same weight can have different apparent sizes depending on their geometry. This visual size is described in terms of spread characteristics. Positive spread means that a diamond looks larger than Tolkowsky round with the same weight, negative means the opposite
